Famous characters make an appearance at PBS pool party event

On Sunday, many people spent the day cooling off at the Russell Sims Aquatic Center.

It was a great way for families to spend time together, before students get back in the classroom. The event was full of fun for all ages, and a famous character even stopped by for a quick visit, the Cat in the Hat. The famous cat wasn’t the only guest, the Puppets with a Purpose, also known as Kids on the Block, even stopped in for a special performance.

Many kids received goody bags and some even won prizes.
