Essential workers brave the elements to report for duty

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Even in the icy conditions, essential workers are still hard at work serving the community.

Law enforcement, healthcare workers, emergency management and public works are just a few examples of workers out in full force, as they’re considered essential personnel.

Even so, the key is to adjust driving habits for anyone who does have to be out and about. Road crews were up through the night preparing for these frozen conditions.

Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said he’s proud of his department and all of the other essential organizations who brave the elements to serve the community.

Law enforcement officials emphasize to not call 911 for inquiries on road conditions.
