Escaped inmate arrested in Russellville
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – On Tuesday around 1 p.m., the Logan County Sheriff’s Office received information that a wanted fugitive was at the Quality Inn Motel in Russellville.
According to a release, deputies identified the wanted fugitive as Gregory Sullivan, 38, of Bowling Green, who had last been seen at the Marshall County Detention Center on March 15 before escaping. Sullivan was wanted for escape in the second degree, a class D felony.
Sullivan escaped from the detention center, stole a red Ram pickup truck and fled to Bowling Green, where he was hiding for some time, stated the release.
Deputies received information that Sullivan would be in the stolen truck behind the motel.
Sullivan was arrested on his warrant and charged with the following: poss cont sub, first degree, second offense (methamphetamine), poss of synthetic drugs, first offense, trafficking in synthetic drugs, first offense, trafficking in cont sub, first degree, first offense (methamphetamine), poss of cont sub, first degree, first offense (drug unspecified), trafficking in cont sub, first degree, first offense (drug unspecified), drug paraphernalia, buy/possess, failure to notify DOT of address change, receiving stolen property $1,000 < $10,000 and escape, second degree.
Sullivan was booked into the Logan County Detention Center.
