Escaped Hardin Co. inmate captured

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – An escaped Kentucky inmate has been apprehended, according to police on Tuesday.

The Elizabethtown Police Department says an inmate that escaped from the Hardin County Detention Center is now in custody of the Kentucky State Police.

Police say a local elementary school went on a soft lockdown as a precaution due to the escaped inmate.

Officials confirmed no threat or any act of violence was reported at the school.
