EMS expect a busy holiday weekend

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- A lone ambulance sits in the Med Center Health EMS building and EMS Field Supervisor Michael LaSala says this is just one of ten operating in and around Warren County today alone.

Though he says that the EMS is always busy in the area, they can often become especially busy during holiday weekends when more people are out enjoying themselves. The heat, though cooler than last week, adds to the possibilities of things going wrong for members of the community.

“The weathers fluctuating a little bit. So still be cautious and be aware, You know, wear sunscreen, hydrate, stay hydrated prior to, you know, events, plan accordingly. You know, while you’re outside to not get overheated, to be hydrated before those events start.” LaSala said.
