Electricity restored to thousands in Bowling Green

UPDATE: Power has been restored to all Cabell Substation BGMU customers.

“It appears string blew up into the breaker equipment causing a fault. Crews have cleared up the fault and all power has been restored,” according to a Tweet from BGMU.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – About 4,500 Bowling Green Municipal Utilities customers are without power Saturday morning.

The utility company lost its Cabell Substation that feeds nearly 4,500 customers, according to a Twitter post on BGMU’s Twitter account.

Crews are working to determine the cause.
