Eighteen year old charged with driving under the influence

MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky- An eighteen-year-old found himself behind bars after authorities say he showed signs of impairment after being involved in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday night.

According to an Edmonson County Sherrif’s Office release, Jonathan Weaver is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, assault second degree, and wanton endangerment first degree.

Authorities say upon arriving at the scene of the mammoth cave accident, it was determined that weaver showed signs of impairment.

The other driver was transported to a medical facility to check for possible injuries.

Weaver was lodged in the Hart Country jail, and the investigation remains ongoing.
