Educators concerned after state report card data released
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Many education experts are concerned after the Kentucky Department of Education releases school report card data for 2020-2021 school year.
This year’s results suggest a huge number of students fall short of standards in Reading and Math.
The pandemic meant fewer students actually took the standardized tests last year. But, the data does underscore what state and local school officials have been saying, that COVID had a negative impact on learning.
Across the board in South Central Kentucky, a majority of students are not proficient in Reading and Math.
