Edmonton city officials warning public of donation scam

EDMONTON, Ky. – A new mailing scam is impacting Edmonton and Metcalfe County.

The city says a scam asking for donations to the Edmonton Police Department is circulating by mail. According to a social media release, the sender of the letters is the National Police Association.

Officials say they do not authorize donation requests.

They ask individuals who receive the letter to ignore it and not send money.
