Edmonson Water Company issues statement to customers following outage
EDMONSON, Co.,- The Edmonson County Water District released a statement Thursday night, apologizing to their customers after an outage left over 300 users without water for hours. On February 27th, 2025, the Edmonson County Water District issued a boil water advisory because the potential exists for bacteriological contamination due to low pressure or no pressure because of pump station upgrades. However, the outage lasted into the General Manager Kevin Shaw admitted in the statement that the agency could have done better and that the outage was not intended to last that long. He said that upon digging up old infrastructure, crews found hidden issues that had to be dealt with. However, Shaw again apologized for the inconvenience and said the company would adopt better protocols to keep its customers alerted of future improvements.
