EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky. – On June 10, Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office along with Probation and Parole responded to an alert generated by an ankle monitor attached to Keith Wallingford, 35.

Officers searched the property that Wallingford was supposed to be on and surrounding area extensively, finding only the detached ankle monitor.

On June 14, Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a suspect matching Wallingford’s description who the caller believed was burglarizing his garage, according to a release from the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office.

Wallingford was reported to have been seen leaving the area in a red Toyota minivan that later was found at a residence on Mt. Zion Road, according to the release. The owner of the home confirmed to deputies that Wallingford was inside the residence.

Deputies found Wallingford. After leading authorities on a brief foot pursuit, deputies searched the minivan where they found suspected methamphetamine and several forms of drug paraphernalia. The burglary accusation was deemed unfounded.

Wallingford was placed under arrest and charged with: second-degree escape, second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot, second-degree disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree possession of a controlled substance first offense and persistent felony offender.

He was lodged in the Hart County Jail.
