Edmonson County woman injured after vehicle hydroplanes, strikes embankment

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – An Edmonson County woman was injured after her vehicle hydroplaned in Grayson County.

According to K105, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and the Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Anneta Road Tuesday morning.

First responders say a vehicle, driven by an unidentified woman from Edmonson County, hydroplaned and exited the roadway.

Law enforcement told K105 that the vehicle traveled 60 yards before hitting an earth embankment. The vehicle also missed crashing into a tree by approximately two feet.

Officials also say that the vehicle would have been struck if it had not struck the embankment.

K105 reports that the woman had back pain but refused medical transportation.
