Edmonson County School District officials emphasize registration for upcoming school year
BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – District staff from the Edmonson County Schools want to remind parents that it’s time to get students registered for the upcoming school year.
Parents can check the Edmonson County School District webpage to access the link for online registration. There are links for students who both finished the year at an Edmonson County School, and for those who are transferring in from another district.
District staff say registration is important, since it gives school staff an accurate headcount of how many students they can expect to have in any given year.
Friday the district will hold a back-to-school bash, and parents who haven’t been able to register by then will have some help at the event.
“We have our district back to school bash this Friday night here at the high school. I believe it’s from 5 to 7, and we want anyone in the community to come out. We do have people who will be set up that night who can help parents who maybe have not had the opportunity yet to do online registration or just need a little bit of extra help, we’ll help them that night,” said Edmonson County School District director of pupil personnel Alan Talley.
The first day for Edmonson County students will be Aug. 11. The district’s webpage can be found here.
