Edmonson County Public Library hosts open house as renovations are incoming
BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – The Edmonson County Public Library is set to undergo some renovations soon, and they held an open house for the community to make their voices heard on what changes could be coming.
One of the main things that will be added to the library is areas for both kids and teens, which they currently do not have.
They’re also going to add meeting spaces and study pods for residents. Director Alicia Edwards says this renovation is needed to help the community utilize the library in any way they need to.
“So to have the designated children’s area where they can have a good, fun place to be, but also allow people to have a quiet area in the main area of the library… so it’s just a big deal for us to have this renovation. It’s so important, and we really want our community’s involvement in this,” Edwards says.
There is currently no timetable on when these renovations are set to begin, but News 40 will keep you up to date as we learn more.
