UPDATE: Edmonson County woman found safe

UPDATE: Dorothy Fredricks was found safe at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday and returned to her family.

BROWNSVILLE, Ky.- The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an 82-year-old woman who went missing on Sunday.

According to the law enforcement agency, Dorothy Fredericks, of the Sunfish community, stated that she was going to go grocery shopping in Leitchfield.

Financial transactions indicate she was at the Leithchfield Walmart at 8 p.m. and in Cecilia, Ky. at a Shell station at 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

Fredericks is driving a lime green 2010 Ford Escape with Kentucky license plate number 988-XYX.

Authorities say that at this time, no foul play is suspected.
