Edmonson County Clerk reminds you to register to vote in November’s election
BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day, and county clerks around the commonwealth want to make sure you’re registered in time for November’s election.
You can either register online or go to your county clerk’s office to fill out the paperwork.
We spoke to Edmonson County Clerk Kevin Alexander, who told us there may be a little confusion as to the possibility of re-registering every year.
However, once you are in the system, you do not need to update every year unless you have updated information.
Alexander also says he’s excited about having a great group of poll workers for what he calls a major election.
“We’re in pretty good shape for this election. We added a couple of vote centers this election… but we’re going to be in really good shape… I think as far as our poll workers, because we have a really good group of poll workers that have been with us for a long time… and we’re really fortunate to have that quite honestly,” he says.
Alexander did say if you are still interested in helping out with the polls this November, you can email him directly at kevin.alexander@ky.gov. Or reach out to your local county clerk.
