Edmonson County bridge reopens after structural issue

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – An Edmonson County bridge has reopened to most traffic.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 says the KY 1749 Wingfield Church Road bridge over Little Beaverdam Creek at mile point 3.3 is back open wit ha 3-ton weight limit.

Transportation officials say the 3-ton limit is expected to remain in place for roughly a month as repairs are completed.

The bridge closed on July 11 out of an abundance of caution due to a structural issue, officials say. Repairs began several days later.
