Duvall participates in seminar on health costs and prescription drug policy

FRANKFORT, Ky. – State Rep. Robert Duvall (R-Bowling Green) attended the 2025 Health Costs Seminar and the Prescription Drug Policy Post-Conference.
The conference, hosted by the National Conference of State Legislators, occurred in mid-October. Duvall was nominated by House Speaker David Osborne, according to a release by the Kentucky House Majority Caucus.
“I am truly honored to be selected to participate in this program and grateful for the opportunity to engage in important discussions about some of today’s leading health care challenges,” Duvall said. “I’m eager to apply the knowledge and strategies I’ve learned, and deliver solutions to the people of Kentucky. It is important for us to continuously evaluate how our state provides health care and to never stop looking at ways to improve the quality of care while minimizing the cost burden on families.”
The release states the Health Costs Seminar brings together legislators and legislative staff from all over the country to discuss health care costs. This meeting included discussions on state policy tools in relation to affordability and commercial health care prices, Medicaid and other related topics, officials say.
“I believe there is tremendous value in collaborating with fellow legislators from across our nation. It allows us to explore effective measures implemented by other states and use them to guide us in resolving the health care issues weighing most heavily on Kentuckians right now,” Duvall said. “These conversations, along with the input from industry experts, have been fundamental in understanding these topics as we approach methods of reducing costs for patients.”
The Prescription Drug Policy Post-Conference was created to bring together state legislators to learn about promising state strategies to address prescription drug issues.
“Providing the citizens we serve with access to care that they can afford and rely on are some of our greatest responsibilities as lawmakers,” Duvall said. “I remain committed to studying the challenges Kentuckians face when accessing care, and researching opportunities to improve our state’s health care system.”
