Driving safe during and after Distracted Driving Awareness Month

BOWLING GREEN, KY.- As distracted driving awareness month comes to a close, focusing on the road should never stop. With technology advancing, becoming distracted while driving is extremely common these days. We spoke with the Bowling Green Police Department, and learned the impact of driving distracted.

Officer Ronnie Ward with the Bowling Green Police Department says, “People need to remember when you’re when you’re driving, you are in a very heavy vehicle. And the only communication that you have with other drivers may be your turn signal or hand signals. And those really sometimes aren’t enough.”

BGPD is urging everyone to put the phone down. You won’t just save your life,  you’ll be saving every life around you.
