Driving for a good cause: 3rd Annual Duffing for Down Syndrome Scramble success

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – What better way to spend a Friday than driving a golf cart on a pretty day all while helping out a good cause?

Early Friday morning, 20 teams of golfers teed off at the 3rd Annual Duffing for Down Syndrome scramble at Crosswinds Golf Course to do just that.

Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky’s scramble is one of the Buddy House’s key fundraising events to support their nonprofits across 14 counties.

Friday’s scramble raised upwards of $10-thousand-dollars. Two of the Buddy House members showed up, themselves, to help sink some birdies.

Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky President Eric Leach said, “It’s just fun to get out here, play some golf and raise some money. We had ad a buddy, one of our members, who is assisting the teams and helping out with putting, so it’s a really cool endeavor to get them out here and meet and greet the golfers.”

If you missed out today, you have another fun opportunity to help the Buddy House – make sure to come check out the DSSKY Car Show during Duncan Hines days.
