Dozens of pills seized during Cave City traffic stop

CAVE CITY, Ky.- A traffic stop in Cave City netted dozens of hydrocodone and oxycodone pills.

According to Cave City police, officers observed a truck swerve across the center-line multiple times and then swerve off the shoulder of North Dixie Highway.

Once the truck was pulled over, a K9 officer was deployed, and according to police, gave a positive alert on the vehicle.

During a search, officers say they located 44 hydrocodone pills in an improper container, 32 oxycodone pills inside an improper container and $157 in cash.

Officers arrested the driver, Richard W. Neal, 55, of Horse Cave.

He was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, careless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and not having prescription controlled substances in a proper container.

He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
