Downtown Development Division brings home state awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The brand new Downtown Development Division in Bowling Green has been awarded statewide recognition!

This was the first time downtown BGKY attended the Kentucky Travel Industry Association Annual Conference and Traverse Awards. 

The group brought home four destination marketing awards for its Fountain Row promotional and educational efforts. 

Fountain row launched this summer…an entertainment destination center located in the heart of downtown. The experience boosts local restaurants and businesses by allowing take out alcoholic drinks in certain perimeters of the city. 

“Bowling Green is showing up. And people are starting to notice that the third-largest city in Kentucky has so much more to offer than they realize,” said downtown development coordinator Telia Butler. 

The KTIA is comprised of over 1,000 members across the state. There were over 160 entries this year.
