Downed trees cause closure at Mammoth Cave

Mammoth Cave was closed for a portion of the morning due to downed trees.

In a statement from the park, they said crews had been hard at work all morning to clear many of the trees.

The park and facilities were able to be re-opened at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

The park is still without power in several of the offices, but the main visitor service areas do have power.

The park will be offering limited cave tours for the day.
