Donor funded T.J. Healthcare Hero Serenity Garden created for staff
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – T.J. Samson hospital staff are enjoying their newly finished Serenity Garden, a gift specifically made for their hard working staff.
T.J. Samson says their staff has gone above and beyond every day throughout the pandemic, and they wanted to create a serene safe for them to decompress.
After two years of work, the T.J. Community Mission Foundation celebrated their Healthcare Hero Serenity Garden Dedication.
T.J. Samson especially thanked their donors, as the garden is 100 percent donor funded.
T.J. Community Mission Foundation chairman Doug Landers said, “The employees, all of them have been under tremendous stress. They needed a place to come and relax, and we wanted to do something to provide that, and I think we have.”
T.J. Community Mission Foundation executive director Randy Burns said, “The last two years have been tough on everyone but especially when you think about those folks who serve in healthcare…. This is just a really special moment for us, and we’re so grateful for those who helped make this a reality.”
The hospital says while the garden is donated to their staff, they love seeing how the calming environment has already worked wonders to comfort distressed patients.
