Dollar General announces plans for $26 million distribution center in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Dollar General announced plans Wednesday to build a multi-million dollar distribution center in Bowling Green.
The company is investing $26 million in the 160,000 sq. ft. facility at the Kentucky Transpark.
Once fully operational, 65 people will be employed at the center.
The distribution center is expected to create a $70 million economic impact over the next decade, according to the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce.
Groundbreaking should take place sometime in the next 30 days.
Dollar General has more than 16,000 stores in 46 states.
