DOJ releases redacted Mueller report

(NBC News) A redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report into Russian election meddling and President Donald Trump has been released to Congress and the public.

Barr handed over the report Thursday morning. Before that, he held a news conference in which he repeatedly said Mueller’s report found no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives, despite efforts by the Russians to influence the 2016 election. Barr previously concluded, in his four-page summary of the report, that the president did not try to obstruct the investigation, although Mueller didn’t ask for that determination.

Democrats are now blasting Barr for reportedly briefing the White House and press before Congress, accusing him of spinning the results. They now want Mueller himself to testify, and want the full report to be released.

The public can see the redacted version of the Mueller report on the Justice Department’s website. It’s also available here: https://nbcnews.to/2ILQq1A
