Dog yoga to benefit local humane society this weekend

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – You can downward dog with some pups this weekend.

On Saturday, March 29, the Be Happy Yoga and Salt Cave is teaming up with the Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society to host a dog yoga event.

Attendees need to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for the 9 a.m. start time. Those in attendance are encouraged to wear clothes they can comfortably move around in as well as a towel.

Mats will be provided but will be limited.

Sarah Polk, owner of Be Happy, says she is hopeful people will go home with a new furry friend but will also get some much-needed relaxation. Polk says the combination of being “outside and around animals” while doing yoga will help “release those happy hormones.”

She adds that her and her team are “all about service and love.” Polk recommends bringing donations for the human society to the event.

Registration is open, and one session is $25. Polk recommends calling at 270-799-8070 over online sign-ups.
