DEVELOPING: Crash under investigation on Russellville Road

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WNKY) — Emergency crews are responding to a crash near the underpass on Russellville Road in Bowling Green.

Officials with the Bowling Green Police Department and Bowling Green Fire Department were dispatched to the scene Saturday afternoon.

Captain Kyle Hampton with the BGFD says Rescue 1 responded to a single-vehicle crash on Russellville Road. Crews provided emergency medical care, and one patient was flown to an area hospital with a possible head injury.

Traffic in the area may be impacted as first responders work to clear the scene and investigate what led up to the crash. Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible and seek alternate routes.
