Developer closes on properties in Bowling Green for regional housing project

FRANKFORT, Ky. – An update is available regarding nearly 1,000 housing units being built in western Kentucky.
During Thursday’s Team Kentucky Update, Gov. Andy Beshear announced SOCAYR, the developer of this project, closed on properties in Mayfield, Dawson Springs and Bowling Green.
The sites will house 294 of the nearly 1,000 rental units announced, officials say.
Beshear first announced the project in 2024.
Construction is expected to begin in the coming months. News 40 will provide additional details as they are released.
