Deputies investigating reported animal abuse case in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating a reported case of animal abuse.

According to a social media post by the agency on Saturday, a complainant reported a black cat, pictured above, returned home on the evening of Sunday, Oct. 4 with its “fur shaved and severe burns.”

Deputies say the incident allegedly occurred in the area of the 2700 block of Old U.S. Highway 25.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Deputy Danner at taylor.danner@madisoncountyky.gov.
