Deck your halls with Bowling Green landmarks

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Many people decorate their Christmas trees with a variety of ornaments, but now you can decorate your tree with local landmarks.

For the past two decades, a company has been making unique ornaments that showcase local attractions and landmarks in South-Central Kentucky.

Each year a new location is placed on the ornament. This year the ornament features Chaney’s Dairy Barn.

Some of the past ornaments include Cherry Hall, Kentucky Museum, the National Corvette Museum, Beech Bend Park & Raceway and Lost River Cave.

The ornaments are designed to go on a Christmas tree, but many display them year round.

The Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau says the ornaments are a great way to celebrate the holidays and the community.

“I think people really enjoy getting to celebrate Bowling Green and our local heritage here. It’s a nice collector’s item. We have a list of folks we call every year when the Hestia ornaments come in because they are repeat buyers. A lot of folks like to have them not only for themselves, but they also make a great gift,” said Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau employee, Beth Noffsinger

The ornaments are exclusively made for the visitors bureau.
