Dawson Springs couple arrested in child sexual abuse material investigation

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. – A Kentucky couple is behind bars after police say they were investigated for child sexual abuse material.
According to a social media post by the Madisonville Police Department, on Tuesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation contacted Madisonville detectives regarding a child sexual abuse material investigation in Hubbard, Texas.
Police say an individual there had been arrested and had been communicating with two other individuals.
Authorities say those two individuals were identified as 38-year-old Landon Talley and 36-year-old Brittney Monahan.
Police say while reviewing messages, they located conversations from Talley and Monahan about “sexual fantasies involving children” and also multiple child sexual abuse material images from the suspect in Texas.
Authorities say they located the couple at their apartment in Dawson Springs, where they were arrested Thursday.
According to police, an apartment search led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Both individuals were charged with possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12, first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine, second-degree possession of an unspecified controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Talley was also charged on a warrant for failure to appear.
The couple remains at the Hopkins County Jail.
