Daniel Cameron announces running mate for 2023 election
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Republican gubernatorial candidate Daniel Cameron made a stop in Bowling Green on Wednesday to announce his running mate for the upcoming election in November.
Sen. Robby Mills of Henderson is Cameron’s choice to be his lieutenant governor.
Mills was elected to the state Senate in 2018 after serving a single term in the House.
Incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear has criticized Mills, however, for his support of former Gov. Matt Bevin’s pension bill, which was struck down as unconstitutional.
Cameron explains why Mills was the best choice for his campaign.
“Robby Mills is the man for the job. He is well qualified. He’s a man of great faith and character, and he’s someone who has been a staunch advocate for Kentucky values within our legislature. On top of that, He’s built incredible relationships with members of the legislature,” Cameron says.
If elected, Mills would be the only official west of Interstate 65 to have a major office in Frankfort.
