Dance Little Red raises over $3,000 for children’s heart care
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Warren County Public School’s Dance Little Red went on virtually Thursday night over Zoom to raise money for Norton Children’s hospital.
The two-hour high school version of Dance Big Red was filled with lots of dancing, hide and seek, speeches, games and more. They also heard from families from Norton’s who have children currently in the hospital.
The community raised over $3,500 this year to go to the Pediatric Heart Care Center at Norton’s.
Norton cares for so many children in this community. Dana Matukas, communications project manager, said she’s so proud of everyone involved for their contribution.
“It definitely makes a difference for these families right here in our own community in Bowling Green and the surrounding region. Our hospital cares for over 8,000 children just within the Western Kentucky region,” said Matukas.
The college version, Dance Big Red, is being held next Feb. 26. That event will also be going on virtually because of the pandemic.
