Dance Little Red raises money for Norton Children’s Hospital
WARREN COUNTY, KY. – Many schools across Warren County are raising money and giving back to patients in need.
The South Warren High School Dance Little Red Marathon is offering students across Warren County the chance to dance, gain knowledge and serve their community with a little twist.
“It’s great to let them have fun. It’s a wonderful experience for kids to learn while also engaging with our peers and bringing a sense of community,” Erika Lawless, a sponsor of Dance Little Red says.
Uniting schools is a part of what this community service project offers. Many of the patient’s lives will be forever changed, because of all of the donations Dance Little Red is bringing in.
“These kids that are obviously at Norton’s Children’s Hospital are also impacted in ways that we don’t understand, and by raising money for them is going to help them, and maybe, they could do dance around the future as well,” Malak Mubark, a student participating in Dance Little Red says.
Not only is this affecting the Norton patients, it also impacts the up and coming doctors who are inspired by this fundraiser.
“Honestly in the future, I do want to be involved in the medical field, so basically ideas for my future patients,” Murbak says.
Many students have the desire to help, but before Dance Little Red, they didn’t know how to. Now that they know, the love they have for serving is growing.
“Any way I can help anybody. I will, and this is a very easy way to do it, so there’s no reason not to love it,” Mae Hutchins, an ambassador for Dance Little Red says.
