Dance Little Red

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Friday evening, Dane Little Red held their final fundraising event at South Warren High School, revealing the total amount raised over the past year.

The final event saw Dance Little Red ambassadors teaching another routine to those in attendance along with hearing from guest speakers and playing numerous games including musical chairs, basketball, volleyball, and even a cake walk.

The three hour dance marathon ended with the big reveal of how much money dance little red has raised, which totaled in at $12,161.39.

The money raised is donated to Norton Children’s Hospital in Bowling Green with the mission to help kids so they can have similar experiences.

“The main reason we dance is for the kids who can’t.” Said Rahma Mubark, a Dance Little Red Ambassador. “Obviously there’s a lot of people in the hospital wishing they can be out here and help people, but that’s what we do. That’s what we’re here for. We’re here to raise the money for them so they’re able to dance one day.” Mubark added.

The fundraising and festivities will continue next week as Dance Big Red will kick off at Western Kentucky University’s Preston Health and Activities Center March 6th at 6 p.m.
