Dance Big Red helps Norton Children’s Hospital for the 10th year

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday night, students at Western Kentucky University gathered for the annual Dance Big Red event.

This is the tenth year of raising money for Norton Children’s Hospital and the patients are very appreciative of everyone who comes out to dance.

Students were learning some dance moves earlier in the night and the marathon ran all the way until midnight.

However, it’s not just the Norton patients who are affected by these funds.

“The funds come to us and we are able to use them for research, innovation and care resources for our families. A programmatic development to keep our services where they need to be to help us bring care to families where they are. We use those dollars wisely. We invest them wisely, and they have a very real impact on the families we serve,” assistant vice president of pediatrics Susan Strack says.

Another student who also happens to be a patient says it helps him in more ways than he could ever imagine.
