Daily temperature checks no longer required for Kentucky schools
FRANKFORT, Ky. – The healthy at school guidelines have now been updated. A big change is that temperature checks are no longer required before school or bus entry.
Now, the only time a check will be needed is if students and staff are displaying COVID-19 symptoms. In a release from the Kentucky Department of Education, it reads that students with a temperature greater than 100.4 degrees should follow the isolation criteria described in the Healthy at School recommendations.
Local districts like the Warren and Barren County schools have made the announcement that temperature checks will no longer be taken as students enter.
