Curtains Up program provides opportunities for local music students

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Local music students are making good use of the new Curtains Up program.

On Thursday, the Logan County High School symphonic band, jazz band, and choir came to the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center to gearing up for their performance.

Curtains Up is a program sponsored by Crocker Law Firm that allows local schools to make use of the SKYPAC stage in Bowling Green for performances.

Students said they’re thankful for this opportunity.

“We don’t get the chance to be somewhere bigger with a more open crowd,” said Logan County High School senior Ashlynn Sanler.

“It’s a really awesome stage and it’s a great environment. I’m glad I get the opportunity to go up there and perform,” added Logan County High School senior Lauren Pitts.

Some upcoming shows include Bowling Green High School on March 3, and Bristow Elementary on April 30.
