Cub Run woman charged with drug possession after being found passed out in her vehicle

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Cub Run woman faces criminal charges after allegedly passing out in her car.
According to a release, the Glasgow Police Department responded to the Speedway parking lot located on Grandview Avenue to a report of a woman passed out inside a vehicle early Wednesday morning.
Officers say that when they arrived, they located 46-year-old Wendy Shavon Hawkins, of Cub Run, passed out in the driver’s seat.
Hawkins’ vehicle smelled of marijuana, according to officers.
The officers proceeded with a search of Hawkins’ vehicle and located a set of scales, suspected hydrocodone and drug paraphernalia.
During the investigation, officers located suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe in Hawkins’ possession, according to the release
Hawkins was arrested and is charged with public intoxication, controlled substance (excludes alcohol), possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense, hydrocodone, promoting contraband 1st degree, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense, methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
