Soul food restaurant opens on Old Morgantown Road
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Greens, wings, potatoes, pork chops, you name it. That’s right we’re talking about soul food. A new soul food restaurant in Bowling Green celebrated it’s grand opening Friday.
Crowe’s Soul Food on Old Morgantown Road offers home-style cooking that you can enjoy at the restaurant or take out.
It’s the only soul food restaurant in Bowling Green, and they’ve opened just in time. It’s the first day of Black History month and the start of Super Bowl weekend.
Crowe’s says they will have wings specials and will show the big game Sunday.
Chef Michelle Crowe says the started the restaurant to put people in a good mood and as a way to remember her grandmother’s cooking.
“Food is what brought the family together. She would always cook…caramel cakes and pork chops for breakfast. That’s where I got it from,” said Crowe.
Crowe’s Soul Food was open until 8 p.m. on opening night.
