Cramming the cruiser for the holidays

GLASGOW, Ky-It’s an annual event and this year marks the 10th year Kentucky State Police have been hosting Cram the Cruiser for needy families. Members of the community bring food donations to drop-off points throughout south-central Kentucky. KSP hosted the latest Cram the Cruiser drive Thursday at Walmart in Glasgow. During the four-hour event, an SUV and Dodge Challenger were both filled up twice. $600 in monetary donations was collected.

According to Trooper Daniel Priddy, a family holiday dinner can be the foundation for life-long holiday memories and Priddy says the KSP wants to do their part to help families have an enjoyable holiday.

Another Cram the Cruiser collection event will happen Sunday, December 8 from 10am to 2pm at Kroger on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green. Donations can also be dropped off at the Kentucky State Police post on Nashville Road in Bowling Green.
