Couple accused of trafficking meth

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – While police were attempting to locate someone, their Tuesday search took them to the Country Hearth Inn where they encountered Crystal Beard and her husband Donald in room 221.
When police arrived, Crystal Beard opened the door and immediately closed it. Police could hear the sound of glass being moved around, according to her arrest citation.
Crystal Beard gave police consent to search the room where they said they found a clear glass pipe with residue in it, homemade water bongs with glass pipes attached and suspected methamphetamine.
The suspected meth was sent to a crime lab for testing.
Both were charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance first offense two or more grams of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
