Corvette Cultural Awareness Weekend taking place in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- People are kicking off a weekend dedicated to celebrating the Corvette while also highlighting cultural diversity.

The event, known as Corvette Cultural Awareness Weekend, saw a vibrant gathering of African American Corvette enthusiasts at Sugar Maple Square.

The weekend aims to inspire families who may not frequently see Corvettes and foster a deeper appreciation for this iconic American car.

Billy R. Brooks, president of the Corvette Awareness Cultural Weekend, expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating, “We’re here to just celebrate our culture and celebrate the City of Bowling Green. Go over to the plant and just enjoy. You would be surprised how everybody’s face was lighting up. They were excited.”
