Coronavirus cases, tests administered Rise in Kentucky
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Governor Andy Beshear has reported 227 new coronavirus cases today, which brings the state of Kentucky’s total to 7,080 confirmed positive cases.
In addition, there have been five new coronavirus-related deaths, as 326 Kentuckians have now passed away due to Covid-19.
The governor did have some positive news to report, though, as a total of 117,395 tests have been administered throughout the Commonwealth and 2,649 people have recovered from the coronavirus statewide.
Locally here in the WNKY viewing area, Warren County saw the largest increase with 35 new confirmed coronavirus cases as a total of 631 positive cases have now been reported in the county.
Allen County has reported an increase of three positive cases over the last 24 hours.
Butler, Simpson and Hart counties each saw their total case numbers increase by two and Butler and Barren counties had one additional positive case each.
In the Barren River District Health Department region, 1,021 positive cases have been reported, with a total of 334 recoveries.
