Convicted Brownsville felon indicted on robbery, fleeing police charges

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – A Brownsville man is charged with several crimes, including robbery, after an incident in February.
Jerry Napier, 37, of Brownsville, was indicted on a slew of charges by a grand jury in Edmonson County on April 24.
According to the indictment, Napier committed a first-degree robbery on February 5.
Napier is also charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree mischief, third-degree fleeing or evading police (foot), reckless driving, and first-degree persistent felony offender stemming from the incident.
On September 20, 2021, Napier was convicted of first-degree drug trafficking (> 2 gms of Methamphetamine), receiving a five-year sentence, and first-degree wanton endangerment, receiving a two-year sentence.
On October, 17, 2012, Napier was convicted of second-degree trafficking (>= 20 Drug Unspecified), receiving a five-year sentence.
Both convictions were made at the Edmonson County Circuit Court.
Napier received a second indictment on April 24. The charges are possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and second-degree persistent felony offender.
Napier is lodged at the Hart County Jail.
