Construction to begin in 2027 on Logan County Career and Technical Center

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – Logan County Schools has announced an expected start time for construction on the Logan County Career and Technical Center.
According to Dr. Dan Costellow, superintendent of Logan County Schools, the building is “funded through a nearly $10 million grant from the Kentucky Department of Education.” The center will add a diesel mechanics and plumbing program to the current 10 programs offered at the CTC, Costellow says.
He says CTC serves students from the areas of Logan County, Russellville Independent and Todd County.
Costellow says the final design approval is set for mid-November 2025, with bid opening scheduled for March 2026, a bid contract approval scheduled for April 2026 and construction set for spring 2027.
He further stated, “It’s exciting to see this project taking shape. We’re working with our school community to create a safe, modern space that offers students meaningful learning and career opportunities while helping to fill job openings across our community and region.”
The district says the LCCTC serves ninth through 12th graders.
The expected completion date is in Spring 2027, Costellow says.
