Construction on the Bowling Green High School renovation moves forward

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- During the Bowling Green Independent School Board meeting Monday night, an updated timeline was presented on the Bowling Green High School renovations.

The board of education approved plans to finance Phase 2 of the new building.

Phase 2 includes the set-up of an area for a new pool and a theater with seating for 700 to benefit the performing arts programs.

The expected completion date of the renovation is August of 2023.

Superintendent Gary Fields said he’s excited to be on track with the new school.

“This is occurring at a minimum of five years before any of us thought was possible two years ago. We’re really excited because the sooner we get it completed, the sooner our kids can enjoy it,” Fields said.
