Construction of Bowling Green High School reaches completion
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Since 2018, Bowling Green High School has been under construction. With its last and newest addition, it is officially complete.
The final addition is their beautiful new courtyard. The goal of this creation was is to cultivate an outdoor space that compliments the indoor common areas. Faculty and staff we also considered in the new development. The superintendent says, “the traditional learning” is not beneficial for kids.
The superintendent of the BGHS, Gary Fields shares, “We have 16-17-18 year old’s in this building. They’re kids at heart, and they want to be outside they want to have fresh air. They want to have a chance to collaborate in spaces that aren’t traditional, I think that was a real key in this construction.”
This new space is filled with opportunities for the students to connect. From table tennis, connect four, and a stage. It not only allows students to go from class to class, eat lunch, and interact with one another. It also gives students a chance to express themselves and take a load off and surround themselves in nature.
