Connecting the community through coffee in Glasgow

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Connecting with the community is a top priority for most people in south-central Kentucky, and thanks to a few local entrepreneurs, people will connect through coffee.

The initiative, Community Coffee Connection, is uniting small businesses for the good of the community.

From Wildflowers Bake Shop, Honey’s Coffee Co., Ace Coffee Co. and many other coffee shops all over Barren County, they relieve some of the economic pressure and bring joy to the people who come out and experience the community coffee connection.

Savanna White, the owner of Honey’s Coffee Co., tells News 40, “Everybody is feeling just the impacts of the economy right now. It’s rough. And the Community Relief Fund is something that’s near and dear to us. We’ve done a benefit for them before, and something that’s just been running through my mind over and over is, you know, for someone that was able to make things work before this economy into this state, imagine how it must feel now to someone who struggled before.”

Anyone and everyone is welcome to experience the community coffee connection in Glasgow this Friday in the Marshall’s parking lot. For more information, you can visit honeyscoffeeco.com/ and Honey Coffee Co.’s Facebook page.
